Ookami's following journey was nothing short of an exceptional story, being one of the reasons to unite Eorzea's great nations, ending the Dragonsong War, contributing in the freedom of various nations under the reign of Garlemald, saving the First from extinction as the Warrior of Darkness and ending the greatest calamity ever recorded on Etheirys- the Final Day. For now, she has returned to be a Master of Arms as well as an ordinary adventurer, travelling, enjoying life, helping others and inspiring countless people to follow her steps.
Characteristic
Appearance

Ookami is a very tall Lalafell compared to general Lalafellin height with ruffled black hair, highlight strokes (most of the time very light blue but sometimes red) and light blue eyes. After merging souls with Ardbert, her eyes are observed to be slightly brighter and bluer than before, which might be a result of the two sharing the same eye color. She has faint freckles but most of the time it is hard to see since she wears reddish face paint over her eyes and cheeks.
Personality
Ookami is a cheerful and friendly girl who is easy to talk to and always ready to help anyone in need. However, she wasn’t into much idle chitchat and preferred to spend all the time battling as well as training back when she was first considered the Warrior of Light by others. She also rarely opened up about how she felt, rather kept everything to herself and maintained the image of a stoic hero. After her escape from the bloody banquet in Ul’dah, she changed to be more like her true self: emotional, more sensitive and quite hasty, still harboured an inferior complex about all she had achieved. Ookami also began to talk a lot, especially with the Scions and other close friends. Following the end of the Dragonsong War, she trained hard to be more disciplined and focused on getting herself always busy to overcome the pain of losing her friends.Upon travelling to the First, Ookami was revealed to be fond of joking around, acting humorous even in the darkest situation and liked to test out her limits. Nonetheless, she really paid attention to the minor details of people around her, recognised their changes and could empathise with them, as well as started to care and love herself more than before. She liked to be seen as a little childish and pampered by others. Later on, Ookami showed great confidence in her own abilities and asserted her feelings more straight forward with no exception. Although at times, she could still be afraid, but would never back away from any challenges and determined to press on with the things she had chosen for herself.
Abilities

As the Warrior of Light, she receives the Blessing of Light from Hydaelyn and is able to use the Echo to relieve past events as well as render herself immune from primal tempering. Apart from that, Ookami is already skillful in various fields, being considered a “Master of Arms” due to her excellent aptitude with any type of weapon given to her. Ookami fights best with melee weapons and has developed her own technique of channeling aether to adapt with them to enhance her own attributes. She can call upon “a dark shade”, which is actually a simulacrum of Fray- the person who voluntarily joined with her soul to be the keeper of her darkside. It was also revealed that her resource of aether is extremely vast and leans more to the active, which allows her to attempt myriad feats that might have been impossible for individuals with less aether. This also helped her own self to balance better when absorbing light on the First, as the light was proven to be “stasis” aether. After being handed the crystal of Azem, Ookami can use it to summon warriors to fight by her side when needed.
Story
In the arid desert of Western Thanalan, a Lalafellin toddler was abandoned in front of a little orphanage. She was taken in and given the name Chanini. Chanini grew up to be a little unusual, with weirdly great strength and utmost curiosity with everything around her. However, most people in the orphanage disliked her and only kept her as a pity, since there were plenty of rumours surrounding Chanini that she was the child of dead criminals and her being left here was a result of a clash between gangs of thieves that deeply impacted other people living in the area. Later on, she was given away to an affluent family, but only for them to use her. They wanted a child to brag about their family fortune and them being people with “big hearts”. Outside, she was dragged to parties, gatherings and forced to act happy, but in truth no one cared about her and left her behind all alone most of the time. She grew angrier and more resentful day by da, to the point she ended up hitting another family’s child for mocking her and got sent back to the orphanage. Life only got even harder for Chanini back there, with everyone even more reluctant to interact with her, some even bullied her and made fun of her. No longer wanting to put up with them, Chanini beat up everyone who dared to touch her. She was so strong and violent that it scared other kids along with the caretakers. They left her alone, but she was also even more lonely afterwards. At the age of eight, she decided to leave the orphanage behind and went far away by herself. She encountered various troubles, but somehow miraculously survived and met a Doman refugee named Ayako. She was a kind Auri woman, who opened her arms to raise Chanini like her own daughter. They moved to a place near the entrance of Ul’dah, where most refugees stayed to try and earn a living. Their life was filled with all kinds of hardships, which made Chanini even more resolved to be stronger and harsher to protect her mother. Nonetheless, she was also taught how to be gentle and caring towards others by Ayako, and Ayako’s love for Chanini made her a softer and happier child. During that time, Chanini befriended an Elezen boy called Réne, who had to stay with a manipulative father. They quickly became best friends and gave each other “aliases” as they dreamt of being adventurers together one day. Chanini called herself “Ookami”- a word taught by her adoptive mother- and Réne as Rêve. Those names eventually turned into their secrets and special code to help them recognise each other wherever they were. However, a tragedy fell upon Chanini just a few weeks after her fourteenth nameday. Half of the town she lived in was drowned in fire, including her own house. Réne went missing with no clues left behind, and Ayako was gravely injured. Sadly, she couldn’t recover from her own injury, and decided that Chanini needed a new family. With her last strength, she asked a Roegadyn weaponsmith who was a good friend to her named Bright Falcon, who happened to be near the accident at that time, to adopt Chanini and take care of her. He agreed, and took her back with him to where his family lived, a place now called Vesper Bay.Still terribly traumatised by all that happened, Chanini locked herself up most of the time and couldn’t open up to her new parents. Bright Falcon and his wife, Blue Ivy, tried to cheer her up in all ways they could, making her good food and preparing for her new clothes, every necessity she needed, but in truth they also felt like taking care of Chanini was a hard task that they were much or more clueless of how to actually connect with her. This made the atmosphere at home quite awkward most of the time, leading to their son- who was only a year older than Chanini- felt jealous and displeased with his new sister. They fell out with each other and never really talked face to face. After some time, Chanini felt like she couldn’t burden her parents anymore, and agreed to start a new, more normal life with them. She asked for a new name, and they chose for their daughter to be “Raging Ocean”. Ocean tried to go to school, catch up with everyone else and get acquainted with life around here, but nothing was easy for her and she always felt tired with everything she had to do. Studying was hard, no one really wanted to be friends with her and she couldn’t even help her father at the workshop or her mother at the Weaver’s Guild. Chanini nearly wanted to give up everything once again. That was when she thought of a rather random idea: to use her abnormal strength and learn to be a warrior greater than ever. She would be a well-known hero as kind as her mother Ayako, then be loved, be respected, and maybe one day would be able to travel the world as an adventurer like her long lost dream with Réne. If she wanted all of those wild goals to happen, she needed to change herself, to be more of an image that everyone loved and cared about. But Chanini was determined to make it come true.It seemed to be how everything began. A journey, unlike ever before.
